Pricing

The property rental is determined by the type of event and the number of guests. If you are not certain on the number of guests, we recommend to fill out the question with an estimate of guests. Closer to date, when final payment is due, the pricing can be adjusted according your final guest number.

How long is an event at Villa La Joya?  

Events are typically 8 hours from 4pm to 12am. We do have the ability to provide more hours at an additional agreed upon cost(especially if you want your event to go after midnight). We also understand that service providers will need access prior to event and will make accommodations, please let us now your needs and we can plan accordingly. Generally, the Villa, is available beginning at 7:00 a.m. for vendor set-up on the date of the event.

Service Providers

There are no restrictions on your choice of service providers. We will provide a list of our recommended event planners and service providers to couples who book with us. We understand that planning a destination wedding may be stressful and have partnered with some amazing local providers to make sure your experience at Villa La Joya is terrific and that your guests truly enjoy their time in Riviera Maya!

How are payments accepted?

We accepted payments via check, Mexican bank account, or credit cards.

Is the Villa open for use during the event date?

No, the Villa is a private residence and is not available for entry during the event. There is no overnight lodging in the Villa. We do allow couples to have photography done in the Villa for a limited time and for an additional fee.

Is the pool available for use on the event date?

No, swimming is prohibited during events. 

What are tent options for plan b?

Villa La Joya is excited to announce a partnership with Clear Sky Tents to provide amazing clear tents for our couples and clients. This offering is custom fitted for the property and will allow planners and couples to have options for creating a stunning backdrop for any event, in any weather.

Are bathrooms available?

Yes, we have two bathrooms available for events.

Parking for the event?

We suggest hiring a transportation service for your guests. This is to avoid overuse of the street for parking, as Paradise Beach is gated community.

Can you recommend places for our guests to stay?

Yes, we will provide a list of possible accommodations for guests, ranging from private villas to all inclusive resorts. Some are walking distance from the Villa.

Is there a place to get ready on the property?

We have a condo that is a 200 meter, 3 minute walk from the Villa that is available for rent. This is a great place for the couple to get ready and have as a base of operations for the day of the event. The Villa itself is a private residence and is not open for guests.

Can we cover the pool? 

In past events couples have had installations over the pool. We recommend to ask your planner or the vendor for this pricing. 

Can Catholic Ceremonies held in Villa La Joya? 

Villa La Joya is open and welcoming to any religion. We recommend you ask your planner if you are interested in a ceremony in a church, there are a number in the area.

What is the Back up plan in case of rain?

For your special day you can rent an elegant tent to cover the terrace. There are different sizes available depending on the lay out of your event. Please check out Clear Sky Tents and talk with your planner. 

Are fireworks allowed?

Yes, as long as these are provided by the authorized vendor with all the permits in order. Check our recommended vendor at the top of the page for those we have worked with in the past.

Is the Venue Wheel chair accessible?

Yes, the venue has a terrace with ramps.

Once I decide Villa is for me what is my next step?

To move forward and generate a draft agreement for proposed edits, payment link, and to secure your date.

How do I best communicate with the Villa Team during my visit or wedding? 

Villa La Joya and Condo both have high-speed Wifi, it is advisable to verify your cell service provider offers free service in Mexico, if not most offer low-cost monthly plans.

The Villa Team will set-up a Whatsapp Group for texting and phone to improve communication between your group and the Villa Team. To set-up a group Whatsapp Irma +52 1 984-876-2712 or Mike +1 901 335-9098 they will gladly set-up a group for your wedding guest and team.
