Villa La Joya is a private residence situated just north of Playa del Carmen, Mexico that offers a more personalized destination wedding experience. Our luxurious condo is just 600 feet from our Villa, with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. A pool, patio and huge kitchen make the condo an excellent compliment to events at the Villa. Nicole & Shane decided on a destination wedding to create an intimate, once in a lifetime experience for their guests, many of whom were new to Mexico. They had very specific criteria honoring their Jewish culture and enlisted the help of The Eventeur to ensure the vendors were curated accordingly and the big day flows seamlessly. Mexico was the perfect destination for a one week trip of a lifetime with their nearest, and Villa la Joya the perfect home to their vows under the Chuppah.

We invited some of our local wedding planners to celebrate with an evening cocktail at the Villa. It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones. We were happy to show off our new line of Clear Sky Tents!
What a pleasure it was to host Jess (@jessicafildes) and Mike’s wedding! We love how the couple used the property and what an amazing job their vendors did to make it their own, from the unique floral ceremony backdrop to the wet drums, everything was pulled together to make a perfect day! In the delightful month of November, together with their family and friends, we witnessed the love union of Shantal and Xavier. They said the forever ‘I DO’ at the beautiful Catholic Church El Pueblito and celebrate the best night of their lives at the marvelous wedding reception here at Villa la Joya. The lovely couple, Shantal and Xavier, have been planning the wedding for a long time, but after their first visit to Villa la Joya, they immediately fell in love with it and knew that this is the venue to celebrate their wedding. The biggest inspiration for them having a destination wedding was the chance to bring their families and friends from all over the world ... Nicaragua, Ecuador, Spain, and the USA.
One thing we all couldn’t take our eyes from was their romantic and pure wedding theme. It was all white with ivory tones. All the decorations and florals by Cherry Blossom went perfectly with the whole color palette. Both Shantal and Xavier cherished their passion for food by bringing one of the finest caterers, Chef Tomas at @gourmetsoberanis, and a food display with Authentic Mexican Food, with a tortilla station handmade right there at the moment. Thanks to Pescadores, the guest had an opportunity to taste and enjoy the local craft beer. They assigned the entertainment part to Plugin Audiovisual with DJ Chuy who had the newlywed couple and the guests dancing all night long under the stars. From the decor and the delicious cake by Pasteleria la Migaja to the sing-along moment with the Mariachis, Shantal and Xavier, together with their wedding planner, Paradise Weddings & Events, succeeded in planning a gorgeous wedding.
