Destination Wedding Playa del Carmen 2022: Jade and Warren Finally Tie the Knot
Destination weddings in post-covid times have an extra sense of magic, couples who put their dreams on hold for the pandemic finally get to have their big day! We were so excited to meet Jade and Warren and to finally host their destination wedding in Playa del Carmen in 2022. With a beautiful ceremony and an elegant reception lit by a lunar eclipse, it was the perfect day to celebrate the forever love of these high school sweethearts.
Post-covid destination wedding in Mexico: Where to get married in Playa del Carmen
Mexico was one of the first countries to open to travel post-covid and we are so happy to be hosting so many destination weddings again! We are up and running at full and delighted to meet so many couples in love who are ready to celebrate amor. We asked Jade and Warren why they chose a destination wedding in Mexico (so many reasons, we know!):
We visited Mexico in 2014, and had the most amazing holiday. We always said if we were to get married we would love to do so in Mexico! We then got engaged in 2018 and still had the vision of Mexico being the place, so we did some research and came across Villa La Joya. As soon as we saw the venue we fell in love, we got in touch with Mike and later that year booked the venue for 2021. Then covid struck and we had to delay a year! We were upset about this, however now having our day this year, it was 100% worth the wait! - Jade

The Villa la Joya Playa del Carmen wedding venue is just stunning and none of the others we had seen could compare, so it had to be the one! The whole wedding day at VLJ was amazing, honestly more magical than I could have ever wished for. Everybody involved in our wedding was just incredible, words can’t describe how special every single one of them made the day what it was.
My advice to other brides would be if you're in doubt about this Playa del Carmen wedding venue DO NOT doubt it, it’s the most surreal day here! Make sure you think of yourselves, don’t try to please everybody else, it never happens and you tend to overthink things that won’t be a thing to worry about on the day! More importantly, make sure you get the most amazing wedding planner- Kristee couldn’t have done a thing more for me, amazing woman!- Jade
Did you have a favorite moment? Is there anything you would have changed about your Villa la Joya Playa del Carmen wedding?
To pick my favourite moment is difficult as the whole day was unreal! I mean we had a total eclipse that evening, that was insane! The entertainer MC Aldo Spirit was amazing, he created so much fun at our wedding! There is not one thing I would have changed about our special day, from the moment of arriving to leaving it honestly was more than we could have dreamed of. - Jade
