The Mexico destination wedding of Mariell and Louis was a magnificent event joining these love birds in matrimony forever and ever. This adorable couple chose to get married at Villa la Joya Playa del Carmen and we are so glad to have hosted their big day. Both Mariell and Louis are life-long lovers of the ocean so a beach wedding in the Riviera Maya was the obvious choice to unite their families for a joyous celebration of love.
Catholic Wedding Ceremony in Playa del Carmen
“As a Catholic couple, the last piece of the puzzle was finding a place for our religious ceremony. Even though we had a great symbolic ceremony planned for our time at the Villa, we knew that we first wanted to be married in the church before the party got started. In consultation with our wedding planners, we were able to get in touch with the local archdiocese, and set up an intimate celebration at the chapel on 5th Ave in downtown Playa del Carmen.”

Planning a wedding is notoriously complicated, not to mention when it takes place during a historic global pandemic. Nevertheless, with the help of our great wedding planners, we were able to seamlessly navigate the entire process, and specify every last detail to make sure our guests had the most incredible experience. From the crystal-clear dance floor over the gorgeous pool to the mariachi performance on the steps on the venue's side yard, our wedding experience was perfectly customized to fit our vision of the event. The team at Villa la Joya made it easy on us, and they walked us through everything we needed on our special day.
We had such a great time hosting the Mexico destination wedding of Mariell and Louis! Every detail was carefully thought out to be a perfect representation of the couple in love and it could not have been a more ideal day. Beautiful from start to finish, the flowers, the dress, the cake and the love and support of family and friends made this an unforgettable event for all.
